Beautiful beautiful Scotland waterfall No 6 :)

Fellow wavesport kayakers blog from last year

Running Waterfalls for Charity

So a few weeks ago I picked up my brand new Wave Sport Recon 83 from the Perception / Wave Sport factory (cheers guys). With a large amount of rain and snow melt in the UK it wasn't long before I got it out on the water.

Friend of mine Richard Brinkmann is on a mission to run 10 waterfalls in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. A couple of weeks ago I joined up with him to help out and run some waterfalls in the first in a succession of weekends for his waterfall project. We managed to tick off 3 of the 10 waterfalls - Rhaeadr Ddu on the Gamlan , Pont Cyfyng on the LLugwy and Swallow falls also on the Llugwy.

The waterfall project is for a great cause and the money raised will go to help many people affected by cancer.

"A year ago Ritchie was Kayaking in North Wales, running some amazing waterfalls in the beautiful Welsh valleys, thinking life couldn't be better. A week later he was diagnosed with Cancer and everything changed."

To donate and read more about Ritchie's story check out his just giving page - http://www.justgiving.com/Richard-Brinkmann

There is even a video trailer of the weekend -

April Fool's

So Its nearly April

We are planning to run the Affon Mellte and also Lady Falls on the first of April.....However thare is NO water in the rivers at the moment and weighing up a 5 hr journey to stand at water falls with no water in them - making them just FALLS is causing people to drop like flies.

Not sure if we may have to postpone this one - EEEEeeeek .

If any of you has power over rain make it rain over South Wales this week!!!
